Milton Township maintains 32 miles of Township roads. All but 0.3 miles are chip and seal pavement. In the winter, a complete snow plowing cycle takes about seven man hours.
The Ohio Department of Transportation, District 3 (419-281-0513) maintains State route 96, State Route 603, U.S. Route 42 and I-71 which passes through the southeast corner of Milton Township.
The Ashland County Engineer (419-289-0000) maintains Country Roads 1326, 1353, 1426, 1475, and 1600 within the Township. Even numbered County and Township roads run east and west. The road numbers indicate the approximate mileage from the County's northern boundary. Odd numbered County and Township roads run north and south.
